Parents, How Do You Define Your Purpose?

Hello Parents!! Welcome to the Month of May and to Finding Your Balance Coaching's Month of Career and Purpose. Are satisfied with your career/work life? Do you feel you have a purpose in your life? Having a purpose in life is important for your mental and emotional well-being and can help you live a more fulfilled, content, and balanced life.

As a parent, our purpose in life is to provide love, care, and guidance to our children with the hopes that they grow and develop into independent adults. The parents of special needs children have the added responsibility to advocate for their child's rights and provide access to the best possible healthcare, therapeutic care, and education. They must also have a strong understanding of their child's unique needs and create an environment that supports health and development. Some parents even have a passion and purpose to create a more inclusive and accepting society.

Outside of parenthood, the purpose of a person's life is deeply personal and can change over time. A person's purpose might be driven by their passions, values, and beliefs. While some people might find purpose in their career or profession, others find it in their relationships with family and friends, their hobbies or interests, or their spirituality or faith.

As a Life Coach for Parents, I urge parents to also find the purpose in their individual lives as well as their purpose as parents for their children. I had to learn this lesson the hard way. I initially had a purpose and passion in my life to become a Registered Nurse. After becoming a Nurse I was very happy and satisfied in my career. Then after becoming a mother I chose to only focus on my children and did not accept any opportunities for advancement in my career. This led to feelings of being unsatisfied in my professional life while being happy in my personal life.

Ultimately, your purpose in life is something that you must define for yourself. It may change over time as you grow and evolve, and it may take different forms throughout your life. The key is to live your life in alignment with your purpose, to find joy and satisfaction in the things that matter most, and to make a positive impact on the world in your own unique way.

This is what led me to become a Certified Life Coach and to start Finding Your Balance Coaching. I wanted to help parents as they take the courageous steps to overcome their challenges, gain control and create a balanced life. My purpose in life became to make sure that parents do not forget themselves while they do everything to give their children the world. To learn that they do not have to wait for their children to leave home as I did to find their individual purpose in life.

If you would like help to find purpose in your life while creating a balanced family life. Then reach out to me. I am passionate about helping you to manage your busy family life so you can focus on ALL the areas of YOUR life.
